Drum Tuning Frequency Guide (PDF) - Dany Kufner

“What are your tuning frequencies?” -> Here’s my answer.

BEFORE YOU BUY: You need a Tunebot or Tuning-App!

I put my signature drum tuning settings into a compact, 5-page PDF you can keep beside your kit. Get clear batter and resonant head frequencies, alternative settings, and practical tips to help you find your own sound.

What’s inside:

• My Signature Sound — my core kick, snare and tom settings, plus a lower-resonant kick alternative and a high-and-tight snare option.

• Rock / Big & Open — tuning starting points for a more open, powerful sound.

• Vintage / Dry Studio — settings for warm, short tones, including 20" and 22" kick options.

• Low / Fat Snare — a deep tuning starting point for a 14" × 7" copper snare.

• Heads Matter — my personal Evans batter-head choices and a quick Tune-Bot workflow covering measurement, damping and fine-tuning.

Your drums. Your heads. Your sound.

These frequencies are starting points, not a guarantee of an identical sound. Drumheads, shells, damping, the room and your touch all matter. You don’t need to use my exact heads or brand—start with what you have and let your ears guide you.
